Donations Program: Our donations volunteers work together to organize the donations room and visit the office weekly to help accept donations from the community. These volunteers also assist the outreach manager with our Holiday Project from October through December.

General Office Projects: Women of Freedom Foundation is always in need of dependable volunteers who have experience with general office duties. These volunteers will help the office manager to answer phones, perform data entry, assist with copying and filing and help with one-time office projects such as mailings for special events.

24-hour Helpline: The help line provides a vital link with the community on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year. Volunteers are provided with a comprehensive training that includes information on the services we provide, community agencies and referrals, crisis intervention, education on the dynamics of domestic violence, communication skills, and good listening skills. Volunteers, in turn, provide callers with relevant information and referrals and crisis intervention when necessary. Helpline Volunteers answer calls from home and generally work one 4-hour shift per week.

Special Events and Educational Outreach: Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis to help with special events, fundraising efforts, and educational outreach events. Duties may include representing the agency at community events or providing assistance at fundraising events such as our annual Domestic Awareness Five Mile Walk/Run. Volunteers are also needed to staff tables at events such as community fairs and help with other outreach efforts.
